      Worse slander?

The almost 2 century smear jobs depicting anarchism as a philosophy of chaos and destruction, despite the last project attempted worked pretty well until external forces brought it to an end.

The century long smear against the Bolsheviks is at least a tie. I’d say it’s worse, since they defeated the Nazis; drastically improved life expectancy, living conditions, women’s and minority rights; and made incredible progressed in the sciences and arts, while the Luddites didn’t get too far.

    4. There is a distinction between historical luddites and modern ones though both heavily focus on economic inequality rather than the “technology bad because technology bad strawman”.

It is worth noting that the Luddite movement was a movement and not a political party. It had colossal internal divisions across the spectrum from politicised revolutionaries to largely apolitical violent labour negotiations.

Learned about this from an ex and I was enlightened.

One of the worst slander to ever occur.

Lol just wrote a 15 page Homework about the Old Poor Law, Luddite Riots, Swing Riots and Poor Law Amendment Act. Same thing is happening now.

    9. Yeah, when you actually read what the Luddites were all about, you realize they were downright prescient in many respects regarding the issues to come.
