Don’t think this is the gendered issue you want it to be.
Historia in AOT is never really shown to love her husband, and the husband shows up out of nowhere with very little screen time in general. I haven’t watched HP, but I’ve seen enough clips where the main dude very clearly states that he wants to be loyal to his wife. I believe fans don’t care about breaking a relationship that has nothing in it, and care when it clearly goes against a well established character trait.

Sagiri X Gabi is pretty controversial but i like it but am also fine with him being with his wife as well but i guess since we have more time with Sagiri i end up liking her more
