That looks like a better solution, they already are coated in wax to keep them from drying up.

    2. Yeah, I was quite surprised when this happened.

But, less plastic, same protective result.

      Win win.

    3. I avoid buying these because of the wax. My kids have squished the wax into all sorts of expensive places.

this would be so much easier to open! the plastic they use is so thin and cheap it just shreds and i spend so long getting it all off so that when i finally can tackle the wax layer i’m not just flaking plastic all over the table.

    5. Isn’t cellophane biodegradable, or is it one of those sometimes yes, sometimes no kind of things?

    6. They sell cheese in wax here without wrapping. But not babybel. But they do in France.

    7. What is the environmental impact of this? Which tree mulch is being used and flown/shipped from where? And the coating on the paper? The ink; is it all produced in the same place?

I was so underwhelmed by the last time I purchased Baby-bel, I won’t purchase it again. I am slowly feeding them to my dogs.

Did you buy a net of babybels or one of those two packs you can get with a meal deal? Because only the two packs are wrapped like this, the nets are the same as akwats
