    1. We really traded a lifetime of career stability for a few C grade history essays Terrible deal

We went from ‘AI is helping me pass’ to ‘AI replaced the class’ real quick 💀

“Bro ai is good” “The future is now old man” “If ai replaced you, you didnt deserve the job”

People deserve the hell they brought on themselves.

We wanted AI to do our laundry and dishes so we could make art and write. Instead, AI is making art and writing so we have more time to do laundry and dishes

    5. my job does not exist because it become “part of responsibilities” for anyone else.

      Cutting cost ? nah

    6. The problem isn’t AI taking jobs. That’s what it was always for, to free us from menial labor, take care of our needs, and free us to pursue our passions.

The problem is the structural system that leaves you homeless when a better option comes along. The wealthy won’t accept your freedom, they will only ever build systems that force your subjugation.

    7. More like AI is writing your boss’s assignments for you. I see bulleted lists and action items that miss the point more every day

    8. Ai has already ruined everything.. I see discussions on reddit that took part weeks ago and people replying with my chatgpt says this: *slop*. Discussions take place between chatbots and stupid people are the vessel. Smfh

    9. I’d like to see ai try to suck dick with their bussy for 20 bucks a pop at the dumpster behind a wendy’s.

    10. the pipeline from “AI writes my essays” to “AI took my job” was shorter than anyone expected.

    11. AI is taking jobs from many people who never used it and it didn’t exist for most of their career

My students are wondering why they have to learn anything at all because “you can just plug it into chat”

I tell them so often that “if all you have to offer is plugging stuff into AI, what does an employer need you for?”

My brother lost his job due to Ai, thankfully he found another with comparable pay. However, it’s only a matter of time before that other company also adopts Ai, which would lead to him being unemployed again. People and Educators need to massively shift education towards jobs that are low risk of Ai layoffs.

    14. Me a linecook watching all these people lose their jobs to a machine they built

    15. Nah my soon to be favorite:

“AI saved me so much time! I had to tell my boss!”

*slashed hours down to part time and loss of benefits*

genuinely. to people who used a.i to write their assignments. what did you learn in college?

i did psychology, but the only skill i actually developed is how to write well.

    17. StrollingJhereg on

Short term it gets better for anyone with a pre-AI degree. I know a lot of HR people who basically say “at least we have a chance that they actually wrote their stuff themselves” while they trust no one who graduated in recent years.

Even worse for people who never uses ai. Straight up embarassing when i hear a peer or a teacher mention using ai
