ok I hate to be that guy but even the first part he says, something like — if the drug was $100 and went upto 600, it would be a 600% rise — even that is wrong. You can say the drug is 600% (or 6x) its original price. Not a 600% rise. The *rise* is 500%. To make it easier to see, If the price goes up from 100 to 110, nobody will say that the price rose by 110%. It’s a 10% rise.

That’s not even what he said in the original clip. He said “if the drug was $600 and you reduce it to $10 that’s a 600% decrease”. That doesn’t make any sense at all mathematically. If a drug were $600 and it was discounted to $10 that would be a 98.3% discount in price. Why not just say that? Sounds great and actually realistic next to a 600% decrease that makes zero sense?
