In Freedom Math, 600 is a bigger number than 98, therefore it is a 600% reduction – a move DOGE officials say will fix the economy through the sheer power of vibes. Critics who claim you can’t reduce something to less than zero were dismissed as "Legacy Calculators" who lack the patriotic imagination required to understand how spending ten dollars actually creates sixty dollars of value.

I guenienly want to know if he spent an hour listening to trump explain his percentage math or he just pulled this out of his ass. I know its highly unlikely but I have to wonder.
Unfortunately, RFK, Jr’s words from yesterday’s finance committee hearing was not satire. That’s a real quote.
So based on trump-math, how far has his approval rating dropped?

600% reduction would be like $3000 back if I’m not wrong. Idek if that’s entirely true as he said “reduction”. A 98.7% reduction would be $10. Sadly a lot of people don’t know how percentages work so this will pass over a lot of peoples heads without others providing context to them. Which isn’t going to happen to the people that need to hear it.
So math isn’t math anymore, will this work when filling my taxes? I want to use the percentage of 600% in place of 10% seeing it makes bo sense outside if his deteriorating mindset.

My attempt to make sense of this:
If we see a change in value from x to y, we typically measure the percentage change as |x-y|/x. So if we go from 20 to 30, that’s a 50% increase. Or if we go from 30 to 20, that’s a 33% decrease.
Trump is using |x-y|/y. So going from 20 to 30 would be a 33% increase and from 30 to 20 would be a 50% decrease.
So going from 600 to 10 is approximately a 5900% decrease.
The best thing out of this administration is that its clear, we are ALL more qualified than these jokers.
I don’t even get it – 600% of $10 is $60. The backwards math doesn’t work either!

I was saying this months ago. They think percentages work the same both ways.
Cos they know that no matter how stupid they are their cult is stupider. Most won’t understand it and the ones that do will excuse it.
