Elvis felt like an infinity before my birth in ’86. Black and white TV alone was enough to make something like Elvis feel ancient. But kids today are seeing home videos from 2000 and they don’t look that much different than today.
Really puts into perspective just how close the 50s actually were to even where we are now in ’26.

This is awesome
There used to be an even higher resolution version of this available on YouTube but unfortunately it got copyright stricken but, enjoy Lithium.
Isn’t this 35mm not 16mm?
16mm is HD. It’s roughly equivalent to 2K.
Dope
Where’s the link?
Does it bother anyone else how Krist Novoselic plays the base? It sounds good but he looks so weird playing it!
The difference between film and digital is nothing short of amazing.
I like the grain. Digital makes everything look too smooth and “clean” .
So this performance was 35 years ago. It’s clear, its got good audio and its in color.
35 years before this performance was 1956. This is what footage looked like back then. [Elvis ’56](https://youtu.be/TFOt2HNI91A?si=0tpMkh4Hc_sbN2r3)

i can’t get over how awkward it looks for the bass player
That’s the proper length of a bass strap. The lower the instrument the cooler the player is. Rock n Roll 101
krist is a good bassist.
Jeez, Cobain really blows his voice on that song.
Thank you. I was a massive Nirvana fan in 1991 but I’ve never seen this footage.
Awful ‘music’
