They really think they can talk their way out of a room that is literally designed to keep them in.
In case you have not seen this lecture before [don’t talk to the police](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=d-7o9xYp7eE&pp=ygUgZG9uJ3QgdGFsayB0byB0aGUgcG9saWNlIGxlY3R1cmU%3D) without first speaking to a lawyer. Ever. It’s never going to help, and if anything can only be a detriment to you.
The number of people who won’t talk to a lawyer “because they cost too much” only to make a mistake more costly is astounding.
In my experience, if you didn’t do it – talk. If you did stfu and get a lawyer.
