Homers house and lawn would be like 2 millions in my hometown, which i’ll never be able so save, even if i’d work all my life saving every cent i’ll make. Nevermind the three kids and homestay mom. What a fucked up world we’ve become.

Definitely can’t buy a house no, but my rental apartment has 36 windows total, nightmare to clean.
Yeah turns out if you want young people to have kids give them the means to be in a situation where they can afford them within a reasonable timeframe of hard work.

Not to worry, there are more affordable houses being built then ever. Just ignore the fact the government definition of affordable housing is anything under 405K euro (478K USD)

Airbnb is buying up all the housing in town. Prices are nuts. I like the tourists but if you are staying in an Airbnb or similar then you can fuck right off.
Houses in our area are 72 square meters or 775 square feet (?), and they go for €400.00 or $470.686, and that’s considered a starter house in the Netherlands, given you can get more house for that same price if you go outside city areas, but still that is insane pricing

At some point the Dutch government needs more money, and then they reform the pension system again or invent a exit tax
I see them add tax on birth control and other crazy stuff before they make childcare free like other countries just to incentivize leaving this place behind.
