    1. Grew up in Ireland and still think of my weight in stone. For some reason it’s one of the few measurements where metric never caught on (along with pints).

    2. The American sweatpants are very fitting. You guys will pick anything but metric units.

    3. When I first moved to the UK I asked a co-worker how many kg a stone converted to and she huffily replied “too bloody much if you ask me”. That’s lived rent free in my head ever since, I can’t remember the actual weight conversion though. 12kg?

      Well that’s A load of tosh, I’d be Cheesed off for sure, I would tell’em “Don’t teach your grandmother to suck eggs”.

    6. On the plus side, now you don’t need to divide the pounds by 14 to figure out how many stone you weigh.

    7. How much does a stone weigh? Curious since we are mocked for Imperial standards, and not not voting in the metric system back in the 80’s.

      Seriously, what is the actual Kg or Lb of one stone??
