Also I fully appreciated the practical effect of “viewscoping digital-gridwork NYC below the glider” by building a model with fluorescent grids and shooting bird’s-eye with a blacklight. Saved themselves 80 gajillion 1981 dollars on a Cray Supercomputer to render that shit.
