For the last time, Japan didn’t survive a Mongol invasion, it was a fleet of mostly Koreans and a few Chinese people, with maybe a few Mongol commanders. The idea that the Gods themselves saved Japan from the mighty Mongol horde helped shape and form a unified country but it was just a propaganda thing, not true.
Hungary and Poland did not lose land to the Mongols but survived
I enjoy how the borders are roughly just the modern Mongolian borders just scaled up.
Ancient times? Mf that’s the medieval period. Heck, Genghis Khan only united the tribes in 1206. The crusades had been going on for like 110 years at that point.
