“It’s to summarize the argument of your essay” ok man, if you were paying attention, you would know what I’ve been trying to argue this entire time

Real academic papers do this. People don’t need an entire paragraph to tell them that the essay is ending, nor should the essay need a dedicated paragraph to explain what should be taken from it, so conclusion paragraphs tend to stay with lower education

“draw your own conclusions” is just “I don’t actually have a solid point” in disguise

It’s like “bro you already read everything… what conclusion do you even need?” 🤡

Your jaw can open at least half a millimetre, and my balls are half a millimetre big.
So the conclusion is: can I put my balls in yo jaw?

A proper conclusion paragraph shouldn’t be a summary of what your essay was about. That’s pretty useless. They just read it. A proper conclusion paragraph wraps the essay up by tying up any loose ends or making the necessary connections between emphasized details to drive the point home. Almost like the finishing call to action and answering questions at the end of a presentation. It should conclude the essay, not just re-iterate it.
I feel like the whole “summary” conclusion paragraph spawned from doing a proper one incorrectly, like a dumbed-down version for use in elementary school, because they lack the necessary knowledge and experience to produce the potentially complex information introduced in a proper essay. So the concept of having a concluding paragraph is taught to them, but ends up being remembered as a summary paragraph.

I believe it’s for educators to see if what you wrote matches what you thought you wrote. If you got the points across you intended to or arguments you didn’t intend to make

Bro really out here fighting the conclusion paragraph like it personally wronged him 😀
Too long, didn’t read
This is literally the easiest part of any school essay, why the fuck are you complaining about it?
That’s right kids, listen to the skibidi cigarette
Think of it as a TL;DR but it’s still too hard for a middle schooler to read for some reason
Conclusion paragraphs are used more in present day than any other point in my life
Just pretend there is a “TLDR” at the start of it and you’ll be fine
Conclusion paragraph is just a fancy way to say TL:DR
