The Israeli army claimed that the driver did not see Corrie, and Israeli courts later closed the case, classifying it as a “war-related accident.”

It was an unfortunate accident – ultimately her fault for attempting to stop an armored bulldozer with blind spots.
She stepped in front of a large bulldozer that had blind spots to the front. What did she expect? It’s like stepping in front of a tank.

We can argue forever about the politics around the situation, but the fact is it is very fucking hard to see out these machines, especially with added armour, which is why there are safety protocols around when using them. Which were breached in this situation, allowing Rachel to get too close.
Let me be clear – any civilian death is a tragedy, including this.
But coming up on construction machinery with major blind spots is a recipe for disaster.
