When I point out the No Soliciting sign, more than once I’ve heard “Oh I’m not selling anything, I’m just letting you know about…”

I have started asking them if they have anything to keep door to door salesmen away.

The response has been overwhelmingly negative

I work in pest control and I’ve never gone door to door… But I love it when they come to my house! I’ll stand there and quiz them and ask really specific questions about active ingredients and stuff. Usually they leave after a couple minutes when they realize there’s no sales potential, but hopefully I’ve saved a couple people from being bothered.

      Open the door.

      Spray Raid in their face.

Ask them, as the experts, if it tastes expired.

    5. They also ignore pest control vehicles prominently parked in your driveway. Ask me how I know

    6. In my state I think you need to site the specific ordinance for it to be legally binding.

The city also has signs stating transient vendors are subject to those ordinances.

At the very least, you don’t have to answer your door.

What pussy ass country has the USA become?

Put out the sign saying “SOLICITERS WILL BE SHOT”.

    8. Technically soliciting is for donations. Canvassing is for marketing. Splitting hairs a bit but that’s at least the info I was given when I accidentally ended up in a job like that.

Pest control company but they’re the pests, you pay them so they’re able to control themselves

I have a steel screen door so when I open the inner door they can talk but don’t get to control when I shut the door. The hard sell is difficult when there’s a steel door between us.

I’m not opening my door for a door to door stranger, full stop.

    11. That’s a crime here. You take their card and send it with the video and they get a $5000 fine.

    12. In Texas you can give a fair warning than start shooting at them for trespassing that generally makes them not come back (I would never suggest shooting for real but like at the ground or somthing is the type of stuff my grandpa would do)
