Darius the Great reconquered the whole empire and then some in less than half the time that Alex did and his empire was still larger than Alex’s. Besides we all know Cyrus the Great is the true GOAT. He managed to conquer 3 out of the 4 regional powers of his time with an army he himself made. His empire didn’t explode shortly after his demise and he managed to take the greatest city of the time without bloodshed, while also freeing its enslaved inhabitants.
