It’s from a tv show called “Once up a time” she got pregnant during production which got her chubby but the worst thing they did was give her a little boys haircut

Hey if you’re old enough to post on this sub I think you are too old to have any kind of feelings about a Snow White adaptation

To be honest. Seeing the original Disney Snow White now she lookss like she’s 13. I didnt really process it as a child but she doesnt look beautiful she looks like a fucking baby.

The big difference in most of these(except for once upon a time) is age. A woman in her early 20s versus a visibly older woman(who is still only in her mid 30s) which is what it was like in the original too. More of a preference as it always is with discussions of beauty and makes more sense as someone blaming the younger generation for the fact that they are getting older

Isn’t part of the point that the jealousy is a bit ridiculous? Like the queen would be the fairest if it weren’t for this one girl who lives in the forest with 7 roommates and the queen just can’t stand being 2nd in the entire kingdom.

Traditional Western (well Greek) culture equates beauty with goodness and ugliness with evil. So its a core Western ideology that goes back to antiquity. The people that run Hollywood though are big on reversing “Western programming” and so try to promote the opposite. Whenever there is a good looking white character, they are invariably evil, and visa versa. This is meant to reprogram children, and why you see they seem to intentionally find weird fugly protagonists. Like that actress from The Last of Us that is not only ugly but has a twisted up confused brain as well.
