There was a belief that Burgundy and England were cursed because they killed Joan. Both suffered calamities in the decades that followed. Burgundy and its knights were destroyed by the Swiss peasant army. England lost battle after battle against France and then fell in a civil war that saw the end of its ruling dynasty.
That’s quite a good score.

She refuted every single accusation against her during her trial in kangaroo court. Kind of hard to feel justified in carrying out an execution after that.

Joan of arc is a feminist icon but england should have won the 100 years war. Â
Edit – will someone explain why this is wrong and not just downvote it like a child?Â

Off topic, but Joan in that image looks like a female version of Lord Farquaad.

Slightly off topic but a while ago someone asked who the most interesting historical figure was and Joan is easily the top pick. Her entire story is literally a Fairytale *except it actually happened.*
