    1. In the U.S. most people have unemployment insurance administered by the individual state.
My state, Minnesota, pays our laid off drivers the maximum benefit of $948 per week for a $1650+ per week semi truck driving job.

    2. I don’t have sick days, I have PTO which is a scam made so you can use your vacation time on days you’re sick and can’t go to work.

Little misleading on the American part. Every job I worked at has had paid leave. But this meme is specifically talking about after *6* weeks, which I haven’t worked at a job where I had 6 weeks of paid leave in a year before.

American here. I earn 3.75 hours of sick leave every 2 weeks. Close to 1800 hours saved. What I don’t use goes into my retirement.

I get just over two weeks of fully paid sick leave during the year. If I get sick beyond that and want to get paid I can use my other PTO.

    6. 116 a week is basically nothing. It’s actually almost an insult because the amount of money going to bureaucrats just to disperse it is probably insane.

How is this a meme? This is the leftist memes are “words words words” in a nutshell.

Americna here, I have 30 fully paid days off per year that I can use for anything. And I make more on a daily basis and keep even more (after taxes) of it compared to a European.

Is it just a mass thing that you’re recruited to get 10 paid sick days?

    10. German here: if you are long-term or chronical sick and unfit to work, you get paid those 70% for 1.5 years with full health insurance and health resort treatment (if necessary).
