      Someone explain to me why those speeds are more fuel efficient please. The Wikipedia didn’t seem to have anything explaining that.

    3. This speed limit stayed in place until 1995. My dad’s car from when I was a kid had the “55” mark on the speedometer highlighted orange, as did a lot of cars from that era.

      I think they’re definitely going to try and reinstate it with the current oil crisis, even though most studies suggested that fuel savings in total were 1% or less.
