Amazing and also, if there are 🛸 ufos, this video proves that it’ll be next to impossible to focus on them lol

Spirit Airlines for the win?

I’ve got to believe that pilot knew exactly what was going down and when, and adjusted his flight schedule to be there. That’s crazy good timing to be so close.

Makes you wonder why NASA doesn’t provide a similar perspective from drones …?

is this another proof that earth is round? if it was flat, it’d launch straight up.

I’d be so pissed to be sat on the other side of the plane.

How many times do you think their ears pop on that ascent?

Good camera work. Getting the camera to stay focused would be difficult, but covered the liftoff and stayed with it. No music and no unnecessary talking. What a great perspective!

Why wasn’t this kind of perspective planned and part of the NASA coverage? Great video.

People hate on Spirit, but how many flights you taking where you can see a space launch!?!? 🚀

I was already impressed and in awe of the launch before but watching this from a plane seems to be looking more impressive to watch and witness.

A few things….
**Firstly:** “Howdy.”
**Secondly**- great perspective, and kudos to the cameraman for taking the footage and sharing this with the world.
**Tripoli** – my thoughts and prayers for the cameraman. Tried so hard to fight that autofocus and get the shot he wanted. Damn scratches on the window going full photobomb on an otherwise great impromptu shot with a phone.
**Quadelly** – how freaking great an example to illustrate HOW FAST THE EARTH IS TURNING. I know you’ve probably heard the bit that “the rocket is flying straight up, but the launch pad is moving away from under it, because of the earths rotation”…. But HOW GREAT A VISUAL IS THIS VIDEO TO SEE IT ?!?!?!
All in all, 10/10 phone footage

Still flat earthers saying this was all CGI. It hurts to live amongst such aggressive stupidity.
InterestingMindset on
This was kinda better than the official NASA stream. I was watching that launch on TV and was disappointed when they rather show us the “visualizations” than the actual rocket. I want to see the rocket NASA, that’s why we are all here.
Anyways, this footage and I assume accompanied photos will be ones for the history books.

[Another angle from a plane, but more zoomed in amd in the original resolution.](https://images-assets.nasa.gov/video/KSC-20260401-MH-JBP01-0001-Artemis_II_Launch_Cessna_GSS_8k_120fps-M19183/KSC-20260401-MH-JBP01-0001-Artemis_II_Launch_Cessna_GSS_8k_120fps-M19183~orig.mp4) This is even better, IMO.
