Look at me. In my opinion, it certainly doesn’t make any of these shows any LESSER not to have these. In fact, it helps the tone and vibe they’re looking for. But I wouldn’t deem sexualization entirely undesirable when it comes to certain types of work. I’m one of those 7 people on this earth who genuinely finds fan service comedy, accidental moments and all, to be really funny and even endearing.

You can say the new fantasy anime boom we’re getting is amazing *without* insulting the medium of anime as a whole. People who still try to claim anime treats women purely as sexual objects are cringe. There are many different shows made for many different groups of people to enjoy, so maybe don’t focus on the ones made for teenage boys and use that as some kind of moral grandstand.
