I really like this movie, even though I found it slightly terrifying when I was a kid. It was a strange era for Disney movies.

Something about McCall’s art instills a sense of hope in me, that we can achieve utopia and reach out towards the cosmos but alas, reality makes such goals a lot more complicated.
