Rock bottom is a theoretical concept. In application, I’ve never seen a scenario where someone couldn’t keep digging. More often than not, even when everyone thought things were as low as they could go, the person in question managed to innovate an entirely unforseen new low.
For reference I knew a guy who was deep into an opioid habit. Racked up a drug debt to bad people. Went out robbing houses and pawning stuff to pay for it. Got caught robbing an old lady. The cops showed up at his place to get his ID and confirm his identity because that’s where he said it was and gave them permission to retrieve it. They never found his wallet. But they did find stolen medications linking him to another four break ins.

Why stop at one area? You could also theoretically have more rock bottom surface area and therefore be more at rock bottom
