    1. Martin Luther King Jr. was heavily surveilled by the FBI under J. Edgar Hoover as part of COINTELPRO. They wiretapped him and tried to discredit him with smear campaigns, including claims about his personal life. Historians generally view a lot of this as attempts to undermine the civil rights movement rather than neutral investigation.

      A lot of American law enforcement is just Isekai’d Nazis rescued by America after WW2 was over, Operation Paperclip.

      And since that time (1945) American policing has been overrun by psycho deluded fascists.
