The Shahs of Afghanistan & Iran, (both named Mohammad,) 1940’s. Both men were the final monarchs to rule their respective countries, both reigning for almost 4 decades & being overthrown in the 1970’s. Both men’s countries came, & remain, under the control of religious extremists (2048×1963)

Mohammed isn’t really a first name for anyone. It is simply used as a mark of respect for the Prophet Mohammed. What comes after Mohammed is the real first name. That’ll why a lot of Muslims will simply truncate Mohammed to “M.”
Turns out installing puppet despots tends to generate a nationalistic, repressive, fundamentalist response.
