This has been my whole life. I think it’s important to mention that there are folks that will play right up until the point of meaningful change and then neuter or quietly phase out things that could hurt their monied donors. They’ll support healthcare changes but then figure out a way to trade favors to block their own stuff for political optics. It’s a dirty game.

If we elect a Newsom or a similar type that isn’t about improving people’s material needs significantly we’ll be looking at President Tucker or a Groyper President. That’s the direction they’re going in.
