    1. Saw the Stevie Ray Vaughan Soul to Soul Tour in early ‘86 and BB opened for them. What a show.

I always felt guitar solos and overwhelming ‘whiny’ portions to be a little … Much? Until someone communicated to me how it’s truly an individual expression. The guitarists’ voice, if you will. Suddenly I was able to parse things in a way I appreciated much more. I feel like this is an excellent example with a slow roll.

there’s something about watching legends like this that just feels different… like it’s so calm but you can tell every note actually means something 😭 i remember hearing blues live once and it was the first time i really understood how much emotion you can put into such simple playing… it just hits you without trying too hard 💀

All that and he’s hardly changing positions. Unreal what this man can evoke from a guitar.

    5. What would be the genre of music that sounds like that is it just blues or is there a specific instrumental slow blues name?

I had the honor of meeting and chatting with him a couple of times. Genuinely was a nice down to earth person. Was always one of my favorites.

      Riding with the King era.

Had the pleasure of seeing BB a couple of times. What a talent.

Proof that good guitar playing is all about feel and lies in the fingers. What he’s playing it’s hard to play but if you try to emulate it, it just doesn’t sound quite right

    9. Dude is a legend. Probably my favorite blues artist. Also fun fact he has 18 kids with 18 different women.
