Well, you paid too much for it either way, so it can honestly never be big enough. What was that, like $17?

I was in London a couple of years ago bullshitting with a bartender while getting a pint. He asked if I was American, I said yes and the question he had for me was, “Is it true that when you order a Coke in the states, it’s like a huge cup like this (insert gesture probably smaller than OP’s cup)?” I told him it was and he just laughed. I told him I thought it was stupidity too, then he handed me an imperial pint of ale and all was right with the world.

Medium?? That’s a hydration plan. You finish that and miss half the movie in the bathroom. That’s a 3-movie beverage.

Medium sized for a medium sized family of six?

It’s “medium” for two hours. If you were filling that up at home, you’d be a glutton because the fridge and sink are 30 seconds away, with a pause feature on the TV. “Medium” gets scaled up due to the time delay and the inefficiency caused by getting out of your seat. Of course, the price reflects that.

That’s 100% the Large cup at Regal, not the Medium. If you ordered a medium and received that they were either out of medium cups or gave you the wrong size by mistake. It’s still absurdly big, even when compared to the offerings from most other American movie theater chains, but it’s still worth a little fact checking.
