At this point Trump has to realize how weak he’s making the US look by begging everyone else to go deal with the problem he created.

The bedroom must be getting very full with all these toys getting thrown out the cot!

Number 1: we don’t have plenty. In fact the US imports 8 million barrels of oil and oil refinery products a day. And accounting to supply experts, in two weeks it’s going to become apparent how screwed the US actually is.

schrodinger’s united states: won’t be around to do everything for you but also won’t get the fuck out of everyone’s business

    5. “just TAKE IT”

He really likes to put the child rapist mentality into eveything, huh..

    6. Never play chess with a pigeon. They don’t know the rules, they strut around and knock all the pieces over. They shit on the board and then go home to their roost and declare victory.

    7. Strangely, the other world leaders aren’t particularly interested in joining an American war that was unplanned, unsupported and had no clearly defined objectives beyond Whiskey Pete believing that he’s in Dr Strangelove.

Now the President is openly threatening to commit what are, by any reasonable standards, war crimes… and utterly lacks the insight to comprehend why the *whole* of the rest of NATO is like “Nah, we’re good thanks. *You* fucked this, *you* can unfuck it.”

    8. Okay, you heard the crazy old man.

Countries can simply start buying oil and gas using the Chinese Yuan which Iran has said (and proven) will provide safe passage.

Every country in the world minus America and Israel can do this so problem solved. America can help Israel since they have sooooo much.

The US dollar losing their petrodollar status will be devastating in so many ways to America, but Trump and his MAGAts don’t understand any of that and it sounds like nerd shit so no big deal.

There’s no more need for war. America can continue to retreat within itself, the rest of the world has an easy solution to access oil and gas, problem solved.

THE WAR IS OVER WE DON’T NEED YOUR HELP WHY AREN’T YOU HELPING US THE WAR IS OVER NOW GO HOME YOU NEVER HELP US WE DID EVERYTHING IN WW2 I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU’RE NOT HELPING US THE WAR IS OVER WE DID EVERYTHING AGAIN WE DON’T NEED ANYONE’S HELP WHY AREN’T YOU HELPING US

    10. Fat Orange Fuckwit seems to have forgotten that the Suez Canal and Saudi Arabia Red Sea oil ports exist.

    11. Trump has spent the last 10 years telling all our allies that they are weak and don’t pull their weight, but now that he’s kicked a hornets nest he wants all of our allies to step in to help clean up the hornets.

Most developed nations are transitioning to renewable energy and have less dependency on oil than the US. This little stunt will likely push the adoption rate for renewables even faster, except in the US where Republicans killed billions in renewable subsidies. Even if the strait is opened tomorrow, it will take years for the supply chain to recover. The US is feeling more pain than anyone else.

      >open it yourself

Anything besides taking personal responsibility. He’s been told it will be a bloodbath.

    13. “The USA wont be there to help you anymore” sounds like they are out of NATOs article 5’s

    14. So he says that the UK refused to participate in removing the leadership of Iran? Well, to refuse they would have had to know it was going to happen, which is interesting since he didn’t even tell Congress that the attack was coming. So did Trump let a foreign nation, albeit an ally, know he was going to do something he wouldn’t even tell the US Congress, or is he just lying?

    15. Appropriate_Big_1610 on

Your daily reminder that NATO Article 5 has been involved only once in its history — by the United States. Should we be surprised no one in this “administration” has ever bothered to mention that to him?

“Go secure the straight of Hormuz for us because we started a war we can’t win and need someone else to clean up our mess at their expenses.” – The US of A.

    17. Impossible_Lab_9493 on

If we have plenty of oil, why have you not suspended taxes on gasoline so we’re not paying so much at the pump? And if Iran has been decimated, why are you putting our soldiers’ lives in danger?

    18. So we’re at the begging for help stage. Just the insulting stage followed by the we’ve already won stage before we’re back here again.

    19. “Buy [jet fuel] from the US.” The greatest businessman in the history of the world has no clue how commodity markets work.

Everybody realizes how insane this is? Right? RIGHT? The biggest winners in this are American oil companies, Netanyahu (who gets another war to delay his ousting) & Russia. They get sanctions lifted because of a crisis Trump created, while he wants Europe diverts money and resources to the middle east rather than Ukraine.

He bullied the EU and told them the US didn’t need them. Now… he is mad they won’t join his non-defensive war? Asshat.

    21. This is an absolutely appalling thing for a world leader to be saying. Let’s leave aside the jokes about his obvious dementia for a moment – this is the President of the USA explicitly telling other world leaders to invade a country and steal their resources.

    22. Serious question, why is know one asking him, if it’s so easy to take why can’t the strongest military on earth do it?

    23. Let me try to wrap my head around the narrative.

The USA is strong and doesn’t need help, but please send help.

European countries do not have a military, but we need those troops to win the war the USA started.

I am just waiting for him to try to invoke article 5, get laughed out of the room and use this as a formal pretext to withdraw from NATO.
