Have a black one . Dome shape thermos in the top. My Fathers,probably from the 40’s
It got a new paint job in the 80’s when the place I worked at was spraying black epoxy paint on a machine frame.

My friend got one of these and was telling me about how it can keep hot things hot and cold things cold. That’s amazing I said, what have you got in it today? “Some Tomato soup and two choc-ices”.
