My first thought is Why? Was it moldy? Surely you could push some shwag as long as the only thing wrong with it is that it’s low grade. The color looks good but it looks like homegrown. Idk I’m not an expert by any means 🤷🏼♀️ ETA: I saw in another comment it was waterlogged but I’m curious why they would leave if (if it was any good) besides some type of emergency

Damn a whole crate, people sometimes. Imagine someone leaving this half a crate just lying around. What do they expect just dropping this empty crate on the street.

This was trimmings/leftovers from a huge harvest that someone just didn’t have the patience to turn into hash or extracts. So they figured fuck it and left it at your place because why not

can’t figure out how to add the story to the post so I’ll just put it here.
I got into work to open my shop and saw this crate sitting outside, at this point i couldn’t see what was inside of it and just told myself that “I’ll check that out after i fully open up” i then proceeded to forget till midday. Eventually i remembered and walked out to investigate which is when i saw what is in the picture, this was pounds and pounds of waterlogged weed that had been sitting there since the middle of the night. It did not look good, wet, stemmy, and sorta gross; and i wasn’t gonna trust mysterious street weed that someone abandoned. i called non-emergency who proceeded to laugh and then say they’d send someone over. an hour and a half later some guy (not a cop) just sees it and picks it up and walks away leaving behind a little trail of weed. i then proceeded to tell every customer this story for the rest of the day.
The following day one of my regulars comes in and asks me what the guy looked like; turns out he saw him later that day. the guy had dumped the entire crate of weed out onto the sidewalk and him and a friend were playing in it like it was snow, even having a little “weedball” fight. this is truly the most Portland thing that I’ve ever experienced here.
i apologize for the terrible grammar

It’s Shake, essentially weed trimmings. That’s sometimes used to make Hash or oil in large enough quantities, but it’s not really sellable as weed.

I know a guy who works for a property management place. His job is to go in and clear out leftover things ppl leave when they move out. Once he found 2 huge lawn trash bags full of weed, it was mostly stems, seeds, dried leaves and such (none of it was worth dealing with in a constructive way). He decided to bring it with on a camping trip. He was literally tossing handfuls from this huge black bag onto the campfire.
The shocked (I tell you, SHOCKED) faces of the teen children of others in the group was priceless.
They were drawn out of their parent’s RVs by the aroma. Then to watch this dude toss it in the fire, was more than most of them could deal with mentally.
Might have been the highlight of the trip!
