      It’s been speculated that there’s not enough actual foreign terrorism in the USA to justify the FBI’s budget so the FBI “identifies” innocent people as “potentially violent” or even booby traps them into violence to justify their budget AND not have to do the actual difficult work of busting actual bad guys (like Epstein).

      There’s a historian on X who seems to be an expert in the Oklahoma City bombing and they published copies of Timothy McVeigh ‘s attorneys’ notes that made these speculations about FBI budgets

      The FBI has actually done this multiple times with similar results. Their informants often end up being the most extreme person in the room, which is why courts have thrown out several terrorism cases for entrapment when the informant was basically the only one pushing for violence

      I saw this kind of thing at Eric Garner and BLM marches. White guys with bandannas covering their faces were urging the (mostly Black) crowd to commit violent acts, like throwing garbage pails through bank windows and setting cars on fire. Thankfully, no one took the bait.

      Step 2: FBI pays informant to create crime that politicians have been demonizing

      Step 3: FBI announces how they have prevented said great crime, and arrested dangerous criminals

      Step 4: FBI gets more funding, fear mongering politicians get reelected, voters have fears reaffirmed, politicians against bigotry against said group get painted as part of the problem
