    1. Idk why they are so prone to that pattern lol but yeah I noticed they do that a lot

AI being developed by corporations is going to be the tell that makes it easier to spot AI. Just ask yourself, does that sound like something a corporation would say? It’s AI. At least until they figure out they need to imprison a multitude of artists and writers chained in an underground basement to feed their algorithms and then we’re all doomed.

    3. Why do they need AI to write fortune cookies, or anyone for that matter, have they not just been printing the same fortunes for decades now?

    4. Whenever someone talks about alignment, it’s usually obvious by context whether they are talking about Dungeons & Dragons or Business Strategy

It’s funny. The “it’s not x, it’s y” pattern comes from a sample base of typical of linkedin of people mid 20s to mid 30s. Ie people who are growing in their field and looking to gain influence. So somehow this fortune cookie company decided their target demographic is the same?!

You knie what’s frustrating? This is the exact same pattern used by Loesje, an international free speech organisation know for its thought-provoking posters. And I understand that that’s because LLMs are trained on data like theirs, but *fuck*, I *like* Loesje’s work.

The whole “its not this, its that.” Can be a great way to spot reddit bots. They are constantly commenting like that.
