Queen Dagmar’s Cross
It was suggested in an antique forum that maybe I should post this here for a better chance of learning something about it.
This is what my mother always referred to as Queen Dagmar’s Cross which she carried in the bottom of her purse for probably 50 years.
I’m betting the last time I saw it was probably 45 years ago.
I honestly can’t remember much of the story behind it either other than it was passed down from Camilla to Camilla.
It it currently in the hands of a cousin 2nd removed who I don’t have contact with.
My mother assumed it was stolen somewhere in history. I believe (if I remember right) that a famous museum either has one on display OR had viewed this one.
I think there was some talk about the style of the chain and that it was old.
Seems to me they said it was priceless simply meaning they could not give a value, not that my mother ever would have sold it.
Other than that, 🤷♂️ your guess is as good as mine
If I remember another detail, I’ll pass it along.
