I love the old Eveready logo. If I recall correctly, I have an old camera where I opened up the flash, and found some from like the 40s or the 50s. Super cool

    2. Oh wow that’s over 50 years old, curious if it holds any charge at all but I doubt it!

    3. I’m in my early 40s and I remember seeing these batteries all the time as a kid. I could never forget that logo lol. It definitely left an impression, for some reason… I guess the striking use of red certainly made it stand out (and who doesn’t love little cartoon cats? lol)

Holy cow flashback to growing up in Nepal and using these batteries on emergency torches

    5. Feeling depressingly old. I used these “ancient batteries” in my toys as a kid…

    6. I love their logo so much, I’m always on the lookout for vintage signage with it.

I’m pretty sure the company that made those was union carbide. The same company that killed like thousands of people in india due to a chemical leak

I can see it now. My dad changing the smoke alarm. Telling me to grab the “cat battery”.

Going to RadioShack with him to play with the RC cars and grab more of these.

Oh my gosh, I remember these from my grandpa’s garage! We used to stick ‘em in old flashlights and pretend we were explorers 😂 brings back so many childhood vibes!
