I would love to see this. Denzel’s origin would have to change a bit though. Probably change from Holocaust victim to someone born near a Colbalt mine in Africa. Tulsa has been done a bit, so if they want something similar, they can pick a number of massacres that black people were victim of in America.

The holocaust doesn’t really make sense timeline wise for Magneto anymore if you want a modern Xman story magneto would be in his 80’s The civil rights movement in America offers an interesting dichotomy that Professor X and magneto thrive in because ultimately they want the same thing but they have different methods

Its frankly the only logical way unless you write some bullshit like being a Mutant makes you naturally live twice as long as normal humans. Magneto is a product of the holocaust, his suffering at the hand of the Nazi’s is core to what made him become so aggressive in his tactics. A survivor of Jim Crow would be the only good approximate to that. Also as people have noted Professor X and Magneto were based off of MLK and Malcolm X.
