    1. Burgers can last a long time without rotting because they dry out quickly. Without moisture, bacteria and mold can’t grow easily. Salt and processed ingredients also slow down decay. So instead of rotting, the burger just becomes dry and hard over time.

    3. That’s wild. Take away the pickle looks like a burger you bought yesterday and out in fridge overnight

    4. It’s not interesting in the way they’re claiming, it’s just basic food science. When an item dries up and loses moisture it extends its shelf life. What’s you’re basically looking at here is a dehydrated burger. Oil and salt preserved it while the water has evaporated and left it dried out.

    5. Real story. So when i was 16 (17y ago) i was out with friends, we visited McDonald’s, bought some cheeseburgers and put 1 in my jacket. I totally forgot it in the jacket until next winter.

Long story short, the burger looked like i bought it yesterday. (Just that it was really hard.

We saved it for 3-4 more years and it was still the same. That’s how i stopped eating junk food.
