    1. Most rap artists these days simply sing over the studio recordings when playing live anyway. Like when did this become the norm? It’s fake AF

    2. I seen J. Cole in concert those were decent prices was i a little high up maybe🤣

    3. Prices are out of control and artists have say in that and should be held to task as well as LN.

That being said, I’d be a damn liar if I said I didn’t get my whole life together down at the Renaissance tour.

    4. Re-mortgage your house for tickets, then they point the mic at the audience and make em sing the verses.

Big headphones + The Weeknd Live At Sofi and I can use the bathroom whenever I want with no line

    6. I agree ticket prices are outta control, but let’s not act like you are just paying to listen to music. It’s an experience, especially if it’s an artist that puts a lot of thought into their shows.

    7. What concerts do you guys go for? Exclusively arena shows?

Smaller venues is still pretty affordable

Explore smaller artists. There is a lot of really good music out there outside of the mainstream, and it’s a hell of a lot cheaper to go to their concerts

    9. I think streaming is at least partially to blame for this. Artists aren’t getting much of anything from their album sales, so instead they charge more for live shows.

My advice is to get into more indie artists. Their tickets are cheaper, lol.

    10. You need to get into bands that are less popular. I go see The Birthday Massacre every time they play near me. You can get the VIP tickets and the entire band will hug you. And that’s still cheaper than whatever nosebleed seats my daughter had when she saw Pink.

I’m only buying tickets for bands, artists, and djs that are coming from out of the country. In these times, you never know when they’ll be back, if they ever come back. It’s worth the experience. Molchat Doma sounds great in the studio but they are infinitely better in person.

The only concerts that high prices stop you from seeing are acts that want the high prices to stay that way so… *shrug*

I mean concert prices are pretty cheap for smaller artists & venues. But if all you want it super famous high profile artists & venues you’ll pay top dollar for it.

I use to be like this… the first concert changed me…. Yes we heard the songs, yes we have other ways to stream the music… concerts are about the experience. The energy is just different. Everybody having a good time.

Just said on another post I just copped Currensy and premo rice tickets for less than 100$. Gotta stick to your locals and underground

I almost never go to concerts. The only time I’ll go is if it’s someone my wife wants to see.

To that end, we’re going to see New Edition this weekend.

    17. If you live in Ireland like I do, you’re much better off going to a concert in a different country if you want to see your favourite band. In 2024, I went to see Thievery Corporation in Brussels, tickets were €55. They played in Ireland earlier the same year, festival ticket €250. I actually spent more than that on my trip though lol. You can fly directly from Dublin to Brussels but I flew to Amsterdam first, to pick up some “supplies” and took a train down to Brussels. It cost way more than the festival ticket overall but was a million times more fun.
