I might be wrong but wasn’t the 1st Opium war primarily fought using Indian troops on the British side?

Luckily for them, the first opium war only saw 69 killed British soldiers. It was much worse for the Chinese

This meme is ridiculous.
We mostly sold the opium to corrupt government officials. Peasants aren’t rich enough to buy opium by the boatload.

It didn’t last too long. Qing China soon became the 1st opium producer in the world (over 50% of the world’s production, IIRC) – but they were consuming too much that they still had to import from abroad.

It was 7000 Indians and 5000 British soldiers
It’s premium heroin though to be clear.
