In 1945 during the World Series a tavern owner named Billy Sianis brought his pet goat to a game at Wrigley Field. Stadium officials asked him to leave because the goat was bothering other fans.
According to legend he got angry and declared that the Chicago Cubs would never win another World Series.
This became known as the Curse of the Billy Goat and the Cubs did not win again until 2016 ending a 71 year drought. We need more sports history memes.

Is this fair game because the curse was from the 40’s? Or does this break the 20 year rule since the Cubs winning was almost 10 years ago?
Edit: this has made me realize the 2004 Red Sox are fair game.
