They will protect our border from these people. Let’s call this newfound force “Border Protection” …. oh and while we are at it they could also inspect everyone’s goods to make sure the big beautiful tarrifs are not being circumvented so… lets go with “Customs AND Border Protection”… i like it … has a nice ring to it. sounds strong. powerful.

Half the flight cancellations *in the world* today were from the US. US Companies cancelling domestic travel so they don’t have to deal with the liability is insane. The midterms cannot come quick enough. These people need to be buried
My spouse and I are US born citizens -I’m white and he’s Hispanic. We’ve been planning a trip over the summer to Toronto to see Deadmau5 and have been anxious about this ICE bullshit in general, but especially with border travel. At first we were going to drive, but became concerned after Trump quibbled over border crossings and now gas is an issue. We ended up booking a flight with plans to rent a car when we get there, but are now freaking out over the recent airport bullshit and ICE targeting my brown-skinned husband when we return.

This happened months back at my local major airport. ICE abducted a woman in front of her children as she was coming out of the security area. Video went viral and caused a huge anti-ICE uproar in my community. It happened only once; ICE never tried it again. He wants to do this as airports are even more crowded now? He is blind, tone deaf, and stupid.

As passengers come into the country they’re already examined by CBP, who has specialized training in identifying fake passports and other travel documents. They already detain people arriving illegally. This is bullshit.
And there’s no way to train his ICE thugs to properly scan using a magnetometer or a hand wand or examine hand baggage scans at the security checkpoints in two days so this stunt will make the flying public less safe.
