He’s saying that, but a lot of nations including France, Germany, UK, and, disappointingly, my country of Canada are seriously talking about participating in opening the Strait of Hormuz. It seems they are convinced that this will collapse the world economy.
So we’re not participating in the strikes on Iran directly, but if we send military to the strait, we may as well have. Iran will see us as enemy combatants, and we may lose lives.
It makes no sense for Canada. We are an oil-producing nation that’s making a killing off the disruption in the oil markets.
