I used to give free music lessons. Most of the kids were low income or home schooled and didn’t have access to music lessons through school.
I got these two sisters who were home schooled. One was 13 the other was 11. They were the oldest of 8 kids. Every year and a half their mom was popping out a kid. They were sweet girls and really seem interested to learn but they *never* practiced at home. This was frustrating because the program provided a free keyboard for one and a free guitar for the other because they didn’t have them.
After 4 or 5 weeks I asked the oldest why she doesn’t ever practice and she said, “I don’t have any time or space.” She shared a room with 3 siblings and she and her sister were basically fully time moms who had to cook, clean, and look after their siblings while trying to do “home school” which was led by their mother. They quit altogether after a few months because their dad did flooring and he needed extra hands for the job.
I don’t know what their future looks like but it’s bleak.

Like I get laughing at them for advertising this online and using children as props. But why so much aggression about having many children? My nan had 12 sibling. All these kids were definitely put up to this and told to act surprised because theres no way in hell anyone in that family isnt expecting mom to get pregnant again within a couple months of giving birth. Bet she hasn’t had a period since kid #1.
