What would be neat as heck would be a mosaic of state shaped inlay pieces, not faceted and cabochoned stones. That is a blodge of stuff roughly shaped like the US.
But then again, tha tis the style popular at the tie [like the horrible diamond rings that are a blodge of tiny faceted stones instead of a 2k rock
