That’s a very common conspiracy theorist talking point. Robert Maxwell didn’t have a monopoly in science, his publication wasn’t the only one either. This is how conspiracy theorists sow doubt in the so-called establishment to feed shitty theories like electric universe flat earth etc. Pergamon Press wasn’t the only publisher, nature and science are the best two journals in the world who started way before Pergamon.
