A Lebanese woman and her children sit among the rubble of their home in the port city of Sidon during the Israeli invasion of Southern Lebanon in June 1982. [1630 x 1074]
– *”The 1982 Lebanon War began on 6 June 1982, when Israel invaded southern Lebanon. The invasion followed a series of attacks and counter-attacks between the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) operating in southern Lebanon and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), which had caused civilian casualties on both sides of the border.”*

Another propaganda, with little tweaks here, there, left out important context and a bigger picture. 😂

surely invading southern Lebanon yet again, will bring peace to the region? It didn’t work in the 1980s, why would that make anyone think it wouldn’t work now? /s

Lebanon is a tragedy. The majority of Lebanese people are highly-educated, sophisticated polyglots who sit perfectly between and bridge European and Arabian culture. The food and wine is amazing. Their country could be a jewel. Instead, the tiny religious minority has provided cover for the Israelis to bomb and occupy the country on a semi-annual basis.

fun fact: my dad is from the south of Lebanon (Qana) and i look like the boy on the picture ( the one in the back) . I’m pretty sad these days, Israel is going to take the land of my ancestors and there is nothing i will be able to do to stop them. I could hate those bastards in my heart , but nothing good will ever come out of it.
