That instant switch from plotting your downfall to pretending innocence is exactly why cats are both adorable and terrifying.

They need to track every hair. Every breath. Pupils need dilation if they’re going to be accurate

One of my cats is permanently in that state. We brought it home as a kitten to basically have a comfortable place to die (he had worms in his lungs). Somehow he survived and is almost 8yo now, he’s an asshole and we’re pretty sure ehe has some brain damage, but we love him anyway.

Those eyes. Like the last minute before the impact dive of a cruise missile. Target radar activated…

    6. The second photo is the exact moment before chaos. Curtains will die. Hands will bleed.

That was the one, singluar, immersion breaking point in Good Luck, Have Fun and Don’t Die. The cat monstrosity’s eyes tighten into slits before attacking.

For those wondering: animals including cats and us humans will dilate our pupils during fight or flight. This increases light into the eyes and makes our targets easier to see.

For a cat, that target is your lower thigh.
