Still think the prequels sucked?

    1. It made a lot of less sense when it was applied to a planet. A 3D blockade around a planet would nigh impossible. Planets are big. Space is big.

It’s also hard to believe a planet wouldn’t be mostly self-sufficient. A blockade might apply to luxury goods, which wouldn’t be fun but would be very tolerable for a very long time.

    2. They did suck.

The premise of episode one was impeccable. The execution was a disaster.

    3. The bad part of the prequels was not the premise, it was the terrible dialog and stiff acting.

    4. Okay this is so funny. I’ve always hated the plot of phantom menace but Jesus Christ if this doesn’t do it justice xD

      Yes, they did suck.

Just because an idea has promise doesn’t mean the execution of the idea was good.

      Yes the prequels were bad

No amount of revisionism will change that

      They were not secretly genius

And yes I grew up with them as a kid and I still say they’re bad

    7. yes, the prequels still sucked

the question wasn’t whether it was realistic, but whether it was entertaining

    8. Do I have to bring up He Who Shall Not Be Named?

If you can ignore the most annoying character imaginable, then they don’t completely suck.

The prequels are *ass* but that’s ok. My trilogy was the originals, seen in the cinema back when there was no social media determined to ruin everyone’s enjoyment of everything.

Some of the modern Star Wars seems to be interesting and that’s fine too. I’m guessing it’s difficult to write something appealing to both five and fifty year olds.

Oh, and those five year olds that went to see Phantom Menace are now in their thirties. With kids of their own.

    10. What sucks is they have interstellar space travel and most of the cities can’t pave their roads or put up safety barriers.
