Imagine being so influential that people are still making ‘too soon’ memes about your assassination twenty centuries later, caesar really was built different.

Saturday, March 15th, 710 A.U.C. The Curia of Pompey. Rome, Center of the Roman Republic.

Dear Mr. Brutus, I accept the fact that I had to sacrifice my life on the Ides of March for whatever it was I did wrong to Rome. But I think you’re all crazy to stab me twentythree times just to show the Senate who you think I am.

You see us as you want to see us, in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. A conqueror. A dictator. A king.

But what I found out, bleeding out on the floor of the Theatre of Pompey is that each one of us is a patriot, and a politician, a friend… an opportunist… and a backstabber.

      Does that save the Republic?

      Sincerely yours, Julius Caesar Salad
